Mark Cuban Drops A Bombshell By Suggesting Kamala Harris Chose Him As Possible Running Mate

A Jaw-Dropping Revelation on “The Bulwark”

In a candid moment on a sneak preview of “The Bulwark” podcast, billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban shocked everyone by saying that former Vice President Kamala Harris had considered him as a potential running mate for her 2024 presidential campaign. The revelation came when host Tim Miller pressed Cuban about “some green room gossip at MSNBC” regarding the offer, leading to a lively discussion about what could have been.

Cuban, a prominent supporter of Harris’s campaign, which ultimately fell short, shared that her team reached out to request vetting materials. However, the former “Shark Tank” star declined, believing the process would be futile. “My response was I’m not very good as the number two person,” Cuban told Miller.

“And so if the last thing we need is me telling Kamala, you know, the president that, no, that’s a dumb idea. And I’m not real good at the shaking hands and kissing babies.”

A Different Kind of Running Mate

Miller, intrigued by the idea, suggested that Cuban could have been a more dynamic and “meaningfully different” partner on the ticket compared to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Harris’s eventual choice. Cuban, now a minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, acknowledged the contrast.

“I mean, obviously it would have been different,” he said. “My personality is completely different than Tim’s. My experiences, my backgrounds are completely different. I think I’ve cut through the sh–t more directly. I’m not a politician. And so, it would have been different, but it would have been awful.” He also joked that Harris would have terminated him within about a week.

Pushing back, Miller argued that Cuban on the ticket might have been “better than the present situation,” referring obviously to President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Cuban admitted, “Well, yea, that’s true. But, you know, I really thought she was going to win.”

Campaign Trail Controversy

Throughout Harris’s campaign, Cuban was a vocal advocate, hitting the trail to rally support. However, his efforts weren’t without controversy. During an appearance on The View, he stirred backlash by claiming Trump does not surround himself with “strong, intelligent women.” Cuban quickly regretted the comment, later clarifying his stance and even congratulating Trump for winning the election “fair and square.”

Looking back on the 2024 election, the Harris campaign is likely wondering how things would have shaken up if Mark Cuban was the vice presidential candidate as opposed to Tim Walz. Would the election have turned out differently, or would Donald Trump still have won in basically a landslide? The world will never know.
