Joe Biden and his administration don’t seem to be putting America first. And in many cases, people feel as if they are doing the opposite.

And the Biden administration’s pro-terror policies are increasingly worrisome.

The Biden administration is facing significant backlash from conservative leaders over its handling of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

This criticism comes as the conflict has escalated into one of the deadliest confrontations in years, with widespread destruction and loss of life.

Prominent conservatives have voiced their disapproval, arguing that the administration’s policies have emboldened Hamas and weakened Israel’s security.

They point to the lifting of sanctions on Iran and the resumption of aid to the Palestinian Authority as factors that have empowered Hamas, which is backed by Iran.

The administration’s call for a ceasefire has also been criticized as undermining Israel’s right to defend itself.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has been particularly vocal, stating, “President Biden’s policies are sending a dangerous signal to our enemies. By lifting sanctions on Iran and resuming aid to the Palestinian Authority, the administration is effectively financing terrorism. This approach not only undermines our ally Israel but also jeopardizes the safety and security of the United States.”

Former President Donald Trump has also weighed in, accusing Biden of reversing the progress made during his administration.

Trump highlighted the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and several Arab countries, as a significant achievement that has been undermined by the current administration’s policies.

“Biden’s weak stance on Iran and his appeasement of the Palestinian Authority are undoing the historic peace agreements we brokered. This administration’s actions are a gift to Hamas and other terrorist organizations,” Trump stated.

The conflict, which began on October 7, 2023, has seen thousands of rockets fired into Israel by Hamas, prompting a strong military response.

Israel has conducted numerous airstrikes targeting Hamas infrastructure in Gaza. The violence has resulted in significant casualties on both sides, with hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries.

Conservative commentators have also criticized the mainstream media’s coverage of the conflict, accusing outlets of bias against Israel. They argue that the media has downplayed Hamas’s role in instigating the violence and has focused disproportionately on Israel’s military actions.

Tucker Carlson remarked, “The media’s portrayal of Israel as the aggressor is not only misleading but also dangerous. It fuels anti-Semitism and undermines Israel’s right to defend itself against terrorism.”

In Congress, Republicans have introduced resolutions expressing strong support for Israel and condemning Hamas’s actions. Representative Mike Johnson, the House Majority Leader, has called for increased military aid to Israel to help the country defend itself.

“Israel is our closest ally in the Middle East, and we must stand with them in their fight against terrorism. The Biden administration’s policies have been a disaster, and we need to correct course immediately,” Johnson said.

The Biden administration’s response to the conflict has been to call for a ceasefire and to engage in diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has traveled to the region to meet with Israeli and Palestinian leaders, urging both sides to end the violence. “The loss of civilian lives is tragic, and we are committed to working with our partners to achieve a sustainable peace,” Blinken stated.

However, conservatives argue that the administration’s calls for a ceasefire are naive and fail to address the root cause of the conflict.

They contend that Hamas, a terrorist organization, cannot be negotiated with and must be defeated militarily. “A ceasefire would only give Hamas time to regroup and rearm. Israel must be allowed to finish the job and dismantle Hamas’s terror infrastructure,” Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) said.

The conflict has also highlighted divisions within the Democratic Party. Progressive members, such as Representatives Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), have been critical of Israel’s actions and have called for an end to U.S. military aid to the country. This has led to tensions with more moderate Democrats who support Israel.

In response to the criticism, President Biden has reiterated his commitment to Israel’s security and has condemned Hamas’s attacks.

“Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorism. We are working tirelessly to bring about a ceasefire and to address the humanitarian needs in Gaza,” Biden stated.

As the conflict continues, the Biden administration faces increasing pressure from conservatives to take a stronger stance in support of Israel.

With the 2024 elections approaching, the administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict is likely to remain a contentious issue, influencing voters and shaping the political landscape.

The situation underscores the complexities of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and the challenges faced by the Biden administration in balancing diplomatic efforts with the need to support key allies.

For many Americans, the administration’s current approach is seen as inadequate and detrimental to both U.S. and Israeli interests. As the violence continues, the calls for a more robust and decisive U.S. response are likely to grow louder.
