Hunter Biden emerges as key advisor amid father’s presidential battles

The president’s son has had a rough few years. But that isn’t stopping him from stepping into a new job with his father.

And Hunter Biden has emerged as a key advisor amid his father’s presidential battle.

In a surprising twist, Hunter Biden, the embattled son of President Joe Biden, has become one of his closest confidantes.

Despite his long-standing addiction problems and a recent felony conviction, multiple news outlets report that Hunter is acting as an adviser and even as a gatekeeper to the leader of the free world.

According to the New York Post, Hunter has been living at the White House since the contentious June 27 debate and has participated in high-level meetings with the president’s advisers.

The Washington Examiner has reached out to the White House for confirmation on Hunter Biden’s whereabouts.

The bond between Joe and Hunter Biden has been strengthened by personal tragedies, drawing them closer during times of crisis.

Both brothers survived a car crash as toddlers that k*lled their mother and sister. Later, Beau Biden showed promise as a national politician before dying of brain cancer in 2015. Since then, Hunter has faced numerous challenges, including severe addiction and financial problems, a federal gun conviction, and an upcoming tax trial in September.

Despite these issues, Joe Biden continues to stand by his son. Hunter has been seen flying aboard Marine One, assisting with debate prep at Camp David, and even helping to write speeches.

Joe Biden publicly states he is “proud” of his son and frequently appears with him in public.

The revelation of Hunter Biden’s involvement in White House meetings has raised concerns.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) wrote to White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, seeking clarification on whether Hunter has accessed non-public information.

Turner’s letter expressed concern over Hunter’s sudden presence at official meetings, which has reportedly confused some White House staff.

“According to news reporting, the President’s son’s sudden presence at official meetings has caused confusion for some White House staff, prompting a reaction of, ‘What the hell is happening?’” the letter reads. “It is disturbing to learn these events are transpiring in the West Wing, especially via news sources. It is unclear what official meetings and phone calls Hunter Biden is participating in and in what capacity and whether these discussions include classified information.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed on July 2 that Hunter Biden had been involved in some of his father’s official business. “He spent time with his family, as you all know and reported, at Camp David,” she said. “Hunter came back with him and walked with him into that meeting, that speech prep. And, you know, he ended up spending time with his dad and his family that night.” She clarified, “[Hunter] walked him into the speech prep, and he was in the room. That, I can tell you: He was in the room.”

Hunter Biden’s presence at the White House isn’t new. Last August, the Washington Post reported that he stayed in the executive mansion for two weeks starting June 21, 2023. This means he left the White House on July 5, a day after it was announced that cocaine had been found on the premises.

President Joe Biden has pledged not to pardon his son or commute any sentence resulting from his conviction.

However, Hunter Biden has a vested interest in his father remaining in the White House beyond January. Reportedly, Hunter was one of the strongest voices urging Joe Biden to stay in the 2024 presidential race. He even attended a ceremony posthumously awarding the Medal of Honor to several Union soldiers.
