Small business owners from across America descended on the White House this week, showing up in force to give President Donald Trump a pat on the back for keeping his word.
According to Breitbart News whopping 100 representatives from these hardworking enterprises, hailing from 33 different states, made the trip to Washington. They weren’t there to complain or beg for handouts—they came to say thanks and dive into discussions about how the Trump team is rolling up its sleeves to boost Main Street.
One White House insider shared with Breitbart News that the gathering focused on real results, like slashing red tape and putting more money back in the pockets of everyday entrepreneurs who keep the economy humming.
Leading the charge in the talks was Kevin Hassett, the sharp mind behind the National Economic Council. He laid out the game-changing impacts of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, zeroing in on those massive tax cuts and the deregulation that’s freeing up businesses to thrive without bureaucrats breathing down their necks.
Right alongside him, Small Business Administration head Kelly Loeffler stepped up to highlight the concrete steps the administration is taking to stand with small outfits against the odds.
The crowd was a true cross-section of American grit: folks from a recruiting firm, a nimble pharmaceutical operation, and tough-as-nails manufacturers all rubbing shoulders in the halls of power.
Timothy Opsitnick, who runs TCDI out of Greensboro, North Carolina, didn’t hold back in his praise. In a statement to Breitbart News, he captured the spirit of the day perfectly.
“We are so grateful to come to the White House today to hear from leaders in the Trump Administration, and also express our thanks for President Trump and his Cabinet’s work to protect our small businesses,” he stated. “Early this year we wrote a letter to President Trump asking for protection from a costly and dangerous regulatory overreach called the CTA, and within a matter of weeks, the Administration acted to save small business. When small business calls, the Trump Administration listens.”
Then there’s Robert Reish from the Caveat Institute & The Office Toolbox in Surprise, Arizona, who echoed that sentiment with fire in his words.
He pointed out how Trump and his crew have been burning the midnight oil to champion entrepreneurs nationwide, putting small businesses front and center.
“He has renewed focus on and empowered the Small Business Administration (SBA), including appointing a Chief Counsel for Advocacy for the first time in nearly a decade,” he stated. “Moreover – this nomination broke records as the earliest nomination of a Chief Counsel in history.”
Cynthia Kay, steering CK & CO in Grand Rapids, Michigan, brought her own powerful testimony to the table, cheering the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for dodging a bullet on taxes.
“Every year the National Small Business Association (NSBA) comes to Washington to share with lawmakers what Main Street businesses need. This year the most important thing we are here to do is thank President Trump and Congressional leaders for saving us from what would have been the largest tax increase in my lifetime,” Kay stated.
Kay didn’t stop there, explaining the real-world punch this has packed for her operation.
“This has made an immediate difference to me and my bottom line, and will have a significant impact on our strategic planning for the next year,” she continued.
