Vice President Kamala Harris nearly mistakenly introduces President Biden as vice president at Fourth of July event

Harris caught herself just in time. She almost made a disastrous blunder.

And Vice President Kamala Harris nearly mistakenly introduces President Biden as vice president at Fourth of July event.

During a White House Fourth of July celebration, Vice President Kamala Harris narrowly avoided a significant verbal slip when she almost introduced President Joe Biden as the vice president.

he event, held to honor military families before the Independence Day fireworks on the National Mall, saw Harris quickly correct herself.

“And thanks to our incredible commander in chief, the vice — the president of the United States, the extraordinary president of the United States, Joe Biden,” Harris said, seamlessly correcting her near-gaffe.

Biden, who served as vice president under former President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017, has faced increasing scrutiny over his age and mental acuity, especially after a challenging debate performance in Atlanta the previous week.

Interestingly, Harris was not alone in stumbling over her words that day. In a separate interview with a Philadelphia radio station, President Biden himself appeared to conflate two significant aspects of his record.

He confusingly stated, “I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman, to serve with a black president,” inadvertently mixing up his service under Obama and his historic election with Harris.

Biden further complicated matters during the same interview while discussing his Catholic background.

He inaccurately claimed to be “the first president [who] got elected statewide in the state of Delaware,” a statement made in the context of talking about discrimination against Catholics.

These verbal missteps have fueled calls for Biden to step aside and let another candidate lead the Democrats in the upcoming election.

Despite this, Biden, his campaign team, the White House, and his closest allies have consistently affirmed his commitment to stay in the race.

Reports from Wednesday indicated that Biden acknowledged his shaky debate performance to a key ally and recognized the importance of his subsequent public appearances. Polls following the debate have shown Biden trailing behind former President Donald Trump.

A New York Times-Siena College poll released on Wednesday revealed Biden lagging 6% behind Trump nationally, a drop from the 3% deficit in a pre-debate survey.

As the campaign season intensifies, these incidents highlight the challenges facing President Biden and the Democratic Party in their efforts to secure victory in November.

Right now the White House is working night and day to try and calm the concerns of voters over Biden’s mental acuity.

But their efforts may be all for nothing as prominent Democrats are starting to call for the 81-year-old president to step down.

Only time will tell if the Left will end up trying to replace Joe Biden or not.
